This isn't the first time Reddit acted upon the most infamous Donald Trump forum called The_Donald. It was previously quarantined meaning no one could really find it unless they knew the URL directly or a friend sent them the link. It wasn't in searches or anything, per NPR.

Reddit took another step today to eliminate the nearly 800,000 Trump fans by completely banning the forum from their platform.

Reddit banned The_Donald and stated they were in violation of three rules, mostly involving abusive speech and the inability for them to police their own content.

The company says in their new rules, that "Reddit is a place for creating community and belonging, not for attacking marginalized or vulnerable groups of people. Everyone has a right to use Reddit free of harassment, bullying, and threats of violence."

Some Trump supporters have moved to other websites such as TrendingViews, DCTrends, and an offshoot of the Reddit page, TheDonald, or stayed on mainstream social media.

TheDonald site was established back when Reddit quarantined them. It's unclear if the moderators will let everything fly or if they will restrict some speech as well.

DC Trends is a new site for any users interested in talking about politics. Users can sign up for free or choose one of the donation packages and see less ads.
