Democrat Governor Andrew Cuomo gets instantly shamed after suggesting he’s worked hard all year and Santa will be good to him. The disgraced governor might be mincing his words after Janice Dean leveled him back to Earth with a snarling comeback that was all too frightening, yet all too true.
Jesse McKinley from the NY Times posted this tweet, saying “Santa’s going to be very good to me, I can tell,”@NYGovCuomo, saying he worked “very hard this year.”
Janice Dean, a meteorologist from Fox News, didn’t hesitate to quip back, and she replied saying, “Worked hard to help kill seniors, jobs and New York State in general?”
If there was ever an “OH SNAP” moment on Twitter, then this is definitely one of them. When the governor gets crushed by a meteorologist and it’s rooted in truth, then it’s not only devastating to the governor – but it’s a reminder to everyone about what happened to the people who were put in the nursing homes – who definitely should not have been in there.
And let’s look at it this way – the situation with nursing homes in New York was so bad that Cuomo was fact checked by CNN over it. It was like the Democratic Governor couldn’t keep his story straight or had trouble trying to justify what happened when it turned into a disaster on him.
Facts First: Cuomo’s assertion that “it never happened” is false. According to a report from the New York State Department of Health, “6,326 COVID-positive residents were admitted to [nursing home] facilities” following Cuomo’s mandate that nursing homes accept the readmission of Covid-positive patients from hospitals. Whether or not this was “needed,” it did in fact happen.
Cuomo’s senior adviser Rich Azzopardi replied Thursday after publication and took issue with this determination, saying that the governor was specifically referencing the hospital bed shortage. “The governor was crystal clear, he was saying that what did not materialize was the crunch for hospital beds, that every projection especially the federal governments projections predicted was going to happen. That’s what he said never happened. Separately the law has always been that nursing homes could only accept residents that they could adequately care for. None of that has changed.”
If you still think Governor Cuomo worked hard and Santa will be good to him, then you better logoff now and go hide in your basement bunker, because there’s a lot of people who will disagree with you.
