New York’s Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo suggested that “we must reopen the economy” and instantly got skewered on Twitter. People have been making this suggestion for months and now he says it and it’s certainly got some people flying off the hinges.
Cuomo said, and I literally quote him word for word, “We simply cannot stay closed until the vaccine hits critical mass. The cost is too high. We will have nothing left to open. We must reopen the economy, but we must do it smartly and safely.”
At this point, some people’s minds might have metaphorically exploded and when they pieced it back together, they rushed right to the comment section and verbally dismantled this disgraced Democratic governor. And let’s be honest, he had to of expected this reaction from the public.
Take a look at Andrew Cuomo getting absolutely roasted for his comments about reopening the economy:

You know, instead of copying and pasting your tweets from last summer, you could just retweet it, Boomer.

Disagree. Other countries have done it, so can we. Time to tax your billionaire friends and save NyC.
